A worked example
For July 14 and the year 2026, calculate 1 + 4 + 7 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 22, then 2 + 2 = 4. Unlike the life path calculation, this method reduces to a base number from 1 through 9. Your birth year is not part of the calculation.
When does a personal year begin?
This guide uses the selected calendar year. Other traditions use a cycle beginning on your birthday. These are different timing models and should not be mixed silently. When comparing readings, record both the selected year and the model used.
